Healthy Chocolate Syrup?

Healthy Chocolate Syrup?

What tastes like Hershey’s syrup but has the nutritional content of protein?  You’ve heard of the common protein sources: chicken, beef, turkey, tuna, egg whites, and protein powder.  But have you heard of liquid aminos?  More specifically, liquid BEEF aminos (LBA’s)?

Before you start shaking your head and gagging, let me reassure you that they actually taste really good!  Depending on which brand you select, you could choose from flavors like Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla, Coconut, Maple Syrup, and Plain.

Unlike most protein supplements, liquid beef amino (or lean beef aminos, as some companies call them) supplements contain no fillers or “proprietary blends.”  They’re simply protein in a very pure form: hydrolyzed beef extracted aminos and complex-bonded bovine aminos.

LBAThe two companies that offer high quality LBA’s are True Protein and All American EFX.  While each company has a slightly different nutritional combination for their LBA’s, the essentials are the same: 1 tablespoon contains 5 grams of carbs and 5-6 grams of protein.

If you’re still skeptical and a bit grossed out thinking about liquid beef, think about LBA’s as chocolate syrup that just happens to be very healthy for you.

There are a myriad of ways to add LBA’s to your meal plan.

●    Take a swig straight from the bottle.  This is the most hardcore option.  I dare you!
●    Add a couple tablespoons of them to a few ounces of water.  This is how I take them every morning.
●    Add a few tablespoons of chocolate LBA’s to some skim milk or almond milk.  You’ll have an instant chocolate milk shake!
●    Add a tablespoon of maple LBA’s to your oatmeal for some flavor.
●    Instead of using sugar-free syrup on your protein pancakes, use a tablespoon of maple LBA’s as a topping.
●    Add a couple tablespoons of chocolate or coconut LBA’s to your plain Greek yogurt to instantly create flavored yogurt.
●    Add two tablespoons of chocolate LBA’s to your protein pancake batter for chocolate-flavored pancakes.
●    Add a tablespoon of plain or vanilla LBA’s to a shake for some added nutrition and protein without changing the flavor of the shake.

There are so many more options to add LBA’s to your meals - get creative and experiment in the kitchen!  Not only are LBA’s a great protein supplement, they taste wonderful and they’re a quick and convenient way to consume protein to help you reach your fitness goals.
