Fish Oil Reduces Breast Cancer Risk in Postmenopausal Women
A Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center study of more than 35,000 women found that the incidence of breast cancer was 33 percent lower in those who took fish oil supplements. The study was observational rather than experimental, so the researchers could not establish cause and effect. Supplements such as black cohosh, dong quai, soy, or St. John's wort were not linked to a reduced risk of breast cancer.
