Toxic Loads

tiff_gym1Toxic Loads

Have you ever had a memory keep haunting you - stubborn belly fat that will not go away, cellulite that no matter how clean you eat it will not go away, or just feeling down all the time?  These are all issues we have and our environment has everything to do with it.  The air we breathe, incorrect supplementation, lotions, and even PEOPLE.  Toxic loads will create all of these issues for you.

There are chemicals in everything we use now a days.  For example; toothpaste.  Can you believe the minute you wake up you are starting your day off with hundreds of toxins!  We just have to be smarter about what we use on our precious bodies.  I mentioned people as well.  People have a huge effect on our surroundings.  By allowing a person to be in our life that is negative and that brings you down, stress hormones are being released in our body.  It will hinder any positive goal you have in life.  You really have to be more cautious of what and whom you allow into your life.  Doing this will be protecting yourself in the long run.

I recently had to find this out with a few situations in my life.  By removing the negative feelings/thoughts, negative people, and certain chemical products (such as lotions/ toothpaste/medicine), my life completely turned around.  I recently learned of these techniques and want to share in my own experiences how I have rid the toxins in my life.

Things you can do to help rid of toxins:

Steam/ hot bath:  I did a lot of steaming through out my prep for my bikini competitions.  The protein powder and pre-workout drinks had tons of chemicals I needed to push out.  I would drink a liter of water with fresh squeezed lemons and stevia (a clean lemonade).  The Lemon has tons of benefits and acts as a natural antioxidant.  You may also steam in a bath iof a steam room is not available.  Soak in Epsom salt, baking soda, and drink the lemon water for 20-30 minutes.  Your skin and body will react beautifully with this.

Read Labels:  If you can't pronounce it then why use it?  If it’s that foreign to read then just imagine what it is doing inside our bodies.  This is with foods and products we use.  For example; personally I prefer Toothpaste without fluoride.  Fluoride has been linked to many health issues including chronic diseases, bone, and thyroid issues.  Also, when it comes to lotions, make sure you get an all-natural lotion, free of chemicals.  This goes along  with hair products and sprays as well.  Which most are found at your local health stores.

Write out a pro and con list:  Really evaluate your surroundings - I can’t stress this enough.  This is with your every day life and the people in it.  Some are so obvious that you can do this in your head.  Then make the choice to cut out what is not necessary in your life.  The people you surround yourself with and allow in, will really make a difference on your environment.

To sum it all up:

•    Exercise regularly
•    Drink water with fresh squeezed lemons (water consumption should always be at least half of your body weight in ounces.  To properly flush.  Excess may lead to flushing out your electrolytes.  So make sure to pay attention).
•    Watch your caffeine consumption (keep to a minimum)
•    Control Stress
•    Control your weight and eating habits
•    Try using homeopathic medicine.  All others are loaded with chemically based ingredients.
•    Control your life and surroundings for the positive.

Let’s face it, who wants a toxic environment with all that is already out there in the world. The least we can do is start removing the toxins that are in our everyday lives.  By the little changes you can make starting today you'll have a better tomorrow.
