Keep Your Tresses at Bay - 6 Hairstyles for the Gym!

Now that you have started your New Years resolution it is important to stick with the program.  You’re either in the groove of things or trying to find motivation.  And if you’re like everyone else, you’re willing (and probably have) to look anywhere and everywhere.

I am always trying out new ways to find motivation and believe it or not when I look cute or have a cute hairstyle (gym-friendly) it motivates me.  Something as simple as buying a new pair of Lululemon pants and having my hair in a cute side swept pony, can make me feel cute and motivated.  Just because you’re going to the gym doesn’t mean you can’t look fabulous!

Making sure your hair is not in your face is very important.  Oils and product from your hair can seep into your pores when sweating and then cause breakouts around the hairline.

Below are some hairstyle ideas that you can try when going to the gym.

1.    Classic ponytail - The ponytail is a classic, but what can make it even cuter is adding a little poof to the top of the crown.  Also adding a cute headband/sweatband that matches your gym outfit is great and will definitely keep the hair out of your face.

2.    Side swept Ponytail - My personal favorite.  I do this hairstyle at the gym, work, or anywhere when I am on the go.  I have even worn it to a gala.

3.    Bun - I like this one a lot because your hair is completely out of the way.  A great choice especially when you have those extra sweaty days at the gym.

4.    Braid - Yet another favorite of mine is the side braid.  There are different ways to braid your hair.

5.    Headbands - these are wonderful with a ponytail and side braid!  You can match your gym outfit or even have wild prints like zebra to accent your cute gym clothes.

6.    Hair ties - Colorful hair ties can match with different gym outfits.

When you look and feel good - you do good!  Give it a try and see for yourself that this will motivate you like it does for myself.

I appreciate the feedback I have received from previous articles.  So If you decide to try out one of these hairstyles take a picture and send it over to my Facebook page!
