Q&A with Megan Jendrick: Is Music Motivating?

Megan,

Do you listen to music when you do your weights or when stretching? Do you think it’s beneficial? I always see people jamming out but I’ve never been one to wear an iPod but wonder if you think it would help keep me motivated.

I’ve had a few of these questions and I’ve been waiting to answer it so that I could share some really exciting news!

As a general answer first though, I normally don’t listen to music when I lift weights because I’m usually with my trainer. I do usually turn on something to listen to when I’m stretching at home, though.

As for the exciting news, I now have my own song! It was written by the very awesome Avery Watts and is a remix of his hit, “A Cut Above.” To give all of his fans and mine the opportunity to enjoy it, Avery has made it available for FREE download on his website, www.averywatts.com – check it out and let me know what you think! And give it a shot during your next workout and see if it helps. It’s definitely high energy and motivational!
