Running for my Pre-Baby Body!
By JustJackieHaas

Alright gals, it's time to lace up those tennis shoes for the runs of a lifetime! I'm here to tackle the biggest mystery of all mothers - how to get a better body POST baby (babies in my case) and enjoy each and every mile whie doing it!

She's Here!
September 25, 2008

Another beautiful miracle was born to my husband and I just a week ago...and I cannot believe how the past 7 days have just flown by ever so quickly.

Taylor Suzanne is doing amazing and fitting in perfectly into the HaasHold.  With big sis' Kayla by her side, the transition home was something that I was eagerly anticipating - although, not knowing how smoothly of an adjustment that it would be.

Not only has the adjustment been smooth thus far BUT the delivery was a huge blessing to me as well.  Let me tell you, running THROUGHOUT my pregnancy gave me not only the mental strength to really be prepared for all that life would have to offer with 2 kiddos THE PHYSICAL strength that I had through a very smooth delivery was miraculous.   Not to mention an amazing hospital staff!  (Having such great nurses and a doctor can really make or break your whole birthing experience at times...hinthint - find someone who fits YOU!)

Seeing that my husband was to be "on the road" for over a week and a half a few days after her due date - we decided that breaking my water would be the best option for daddy to get to know his new girl before he left.  Once my doctor broke my water, the contractions were in full go.  I wish that I could say that I was "Wonder Mom" and not need an epidural but having one with my first child as well as second was just what my body needed to be relaxed enough to have nature take it's course and deliver within a few hours.  Once again the staff was amazing and positioned me differently to help Taylor down the birth canal so that I would not be pushing when it was not necessary. When it did come time to push, I did only 3 times and she was here!  With a full head of beautiful hair, my doctor said "...wow, let me just pull her out by her ponytail..."

Seeing her for the first time was just as miraculous as ever.  There is nothing that can explain the beauty of childbirth - even my husband who has the weakest stomach in the world was right there in amazement! And after only one night in the hospital, Taylor and I were ready to go home.

One week later, everyone is adjusting beautifully and Taylor is nursing like a pro...which is totally beneficial to her BUT to me as well and helping my body amnesty return to "RUNNING FOR MY PRE-BABY BODY"

With the first week behind me - I am now anticipating putting on a brand new pair of running shoes and hitting the pavement.  Although, as I learned with my first kiddo - even though you may feel ready, your bladder AND doctor may tell you different...I have to wait until the second week to start on the physical part.  As for the mental, I'm ahead of the game and so excited to share my journey and road back to training like never before.  As for this moment, I am soaking up every moment of being a new mama again - NURSING AND LOVING EVERY SECOND OF BEING "FORCED" TO TAKE MOMENTS OUT OF THE DAY TO JUST RELAX!

Until next week...

Ready...Set...GO!!

~ HEY THERE LADIES~~

Let me be one of the first to WELCOME YOU to this amazing new community of health & fitness and everything in between!

Without any further ado...I'm Jackie Haas - soon to be mother of 2!  So, let me say that if for some reason I am seeming"absent" for a moment or two..it's because I'm in the beginning stages of labor as we speak (or should I say type!)

I am a contributor for RX for W Magazine as well as right here online.  Sharing my pregnancy journey within the pages of the magazine are fantastic (be sure to check out the latest issue - OCT. 08; month 2 of my current pregnancy) ... although, having a true sense of interaction right here on .com is a true focus of mine and a fulfilled desire to really be a voice for the health and fitness community.  With that being said, I am an avid runner and have been through collegiate levels.  I am a certified PT as well as a new business owner ...   ( we'll dive into that very soon here -www.Custom-Muscle.com ) !!

I have been around the world and back through my days in the World Wrestling Entertainment - which in turn MADE my true desire and passion for running ever so much more.  It was extremely hard at time to get a workout in being on the road full-time BUT one huge advantage over everyone else on the roster, Superstars AND Divas alike, was my passion for running...I was always able to put in my workout anywhere, anytime AS LONG AS I have my legs - I've got my runs!!  I now take that mentality into this next, beautiful chapter of my life...MOTHERHOOD.  Being a sponsored athlete, runner, writer and most of all mother - I could not be any more excited to take my true love for running and see just how far my body can improve AFTER THE BIRTH OF MY SECOND CHILD!  Five months post my first child, I was happier than ever with how running helped me get in the best shape of my life - I canNOT wait to do it all over again; this time sharing and looking for support with ya'all!!

HERE I WANT TO FOCUS ON MY JOURNEY THROUGH THE REST OF THE FINAL DAYS, which seem to be more like hours, ON MY PREGNANCY JOURNEY...which will lead directly to...

...ready- set - go !  My journey BACK to a better than EVER post baby body; let's pound out the miles together!

As of this moment, I'm preparing a hospital bag (before I dilate any further :) ALTHOUGH, I have NOT let the fact that being in the beginning stages of labor slow down my runs...well, at least too much!  I went out this morning for a brisk walk, which actually turned into more of a jog BUT feel great!  So, for all of you out there (doctor approved of course) AS LONG AS YOU CAN MOVE, CONTINUE TO DO SO ALL TH WAY TO THE HOSPITAL...you're "new addition" and soon to be better body than ever before will be thanking you every step along the way!!!

Ladies, I invite you to comment, question...anything your heart desires to add to this blog - ALL I ASK IS THAT I INVITE YOU TO SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT TO ANY AND ALL THAT WOULD BE INTERESTED...I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YA!
